By accessing or using the DivvyUp application ("App") and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
DivvyUp is a bill-splitting and expense-sharing utility. The App allows users to scan receipts, split costs among friends, and generate deep links to third-party payment platforms (e.g., Venmo, CashApp, PayPal) for reimbursement. DivvyUp does not process, transmit, or hold funds directly.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You may register using your email, phone number, Google account, or Apple account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Third-Party Payment Processors
DivvyUp facilitates payments by generating links to third-party payment applications. We are not a party to any transaction between you and other users. Any disputes regarding payments must be resolved directly with the other party or the third-party payment processor. We are not responsible for any fees, errors, or issues arising from the use of third-party payment services.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that interrupts, damages, or impairs the service. You agree not to upload false receipts, misrepresent expenses, or attempt to defraud other users.
6. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. DivvyUp does not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DivvyUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
